About Programs of The Law Study

The Faculty of Law at Universitas Wijaya Putra holds an "Excellent" (Baik Sekali) accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). Learning at FH UWP implements Case Studies, Problem-Based Learning, Collaborative Learning, Project-Based Learning, Role Play, and Simulations, as well as the practical application of legal science through internship programs in various law firms. This learning environment is supported by a faculty of Doctoral-level educators and experienced legal practitioners. FH UWP is committed to producing law graduates capable of competing in the legal career world as legal practitioners, academics, legal activists, and legalsociopreneurs.

The Law Study Program offers two areas of concentration: Judicial Law and Business Law.

Judicial Law : A field of legal science focused on the system, development, and dynamics of theory and practice regarding the Indonesian judiciary under the supervision of the Supreme Court. This system encompasses four main jurisdictions: General, Religious, Military, and Administrative Courts. The judiciary functions to examine and adjudicate cases (civil/criminal) to realize justice. This specialization aims to produce professional litigators.
Business Law : A field of legal science focused on the study of written regulations governing the implementation of trade, industrial, or financial activities to ensure they operate fairly, safely, and orderly. This legal framework protects business actors and ensures corporate operations comply with the law, covering contracts, corporate law, and intellectual property rights. This concentration aims to produce graduates ready to compete in the business world.

Vision

To become a progressive Faculty of Law in the development of research-based legal-sociopreneurship by the year 2030.

Mission

To implement research-based legal education in the development of legal-sociopreneurship values.
To conduct research in the field of law by increasing research capacity and quality, as well as innovative publications in the development of legal-sociopreneurship.
To carry out community service activities based on legal-sociopreneurship.
To establish strategic collaborations and partnerships at local, national, and international levels to enhance competitiveness.
To implement good and sustainable governance for the law study program.

CPL-1	Possess piety towards God Almighty, integrity, patriotism, and the ability to collaborate while upholding law, humanity, diversity, and environmental care.
CPL-2	Master theoretical concepts in the field of law, specifically theoretical concepts of legal sociopreneurship, Procedural Law, and Business Law, both generally and specifically, to solve problems procedurally within their professional scope; and possess the ability to adapt to changing situations.
CPL-3	Possess a commitment to the principles of social entrepreneurship (sociopreneurship) in creating innovative solutions for public welfare.
CPL-4	Possess individual responsibility and accountability for organizational performance as a foundation for building the spirit of legal sociopreneurship among legal practitioners, academics, activists, and legal sociopreneurs.
CPL-5	Capable of demonstrating collaboration skills and effective oral and written communication.
CPL-6	Capable of applying developments in legal science to the advancement and resolution of legal cases, both theoretically and practically.
CPL-7	Capable of analyzing legal doctrines generally and specifically, and applying legal research methodologies in legal writing.
CPL-8	Capable of making appropriate decisions based on the analysis of information and data to resolve legal issues, enabling the selection of various alternative solutions both independently and within a group.
