Wijaya Putra University (UWP) continues to expand its strategic partnership network with the industrial sector. This concrete step was realized through a meeting held by UWP Rector, Dr. Budi Endarto, M.Hum., and his staff with the board of directors of PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong, at the company's office on Jl. Raya Tambak Osowilangun KM 12, Surabaya, on Friday, February 13, 2026.

The warm and productive meeting focused on exploring collaboration opportunities in various fields, with two main agenda items highlighted. First, a discussion of the Student Internship program, and second, the potential distribution of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to support development and community service activities around PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong's operational areas.

On this occasion, the UWP Rector stated that the internship program is an integral part of the curriculum to produce graduates who are not only academically superior but also competent and ready to compete in the workforce. "We hope that through this collaboration, UWP students can gain valuable experience and practical insights directly from professionals at PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong," said the Rector.

Beyond academic aspects, the discussion also explored the company's social contribution plans. UWP presented a number of ongoing community service programs that have the potential to collaborate with PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong's CSR programs. This collaboration is expected to have a broader and more sustainable impact on the community, especially those living in the company's immediate surroundings.

Welcoming the initiative, the Board of Directors of PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong expressed their enthusiasm for the proposed collaboration. The company views UWP as a strategic partner with a strong reputation for developing high-quality human resources. They are open to internship opportunities for UWP students and will further explore possible forms of CSR support that can be channeled through the proposed community service programs.

"We warmly welcome the visit from UWP. This kind of synergy between education and industry is crucial. We believe the internship program will be a platform for developing reliable young talent, and we are also committed to providing social benefits to the community through targeted CSR programs with UWP," said a representative from the Board of Directors of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to immediately follow up the discussion with a more concrete memorandum of understanding (MoU). With this collaborative partnership, it is hoped that the synergy between UWP and PT Terminal Teluk Lamong can soon be realized, providing tangible benefits to the UWP academic community, the company, and the wider community.
