Wijaya Putra's 44th Dies Natalis Collaborates Hexahelix as a Catalyst for Sociopreneur Development
Wijaya Putra
University (UWP) together with Wijaya Putra School (SWP) held the commemoration
of the 44th Wijaya Putra Dies Natalis, at UWP Benowo Campus, Sunday (4/27). In
this 44th Dies Natalis, Wijaya Putra carries the theme "Sociopreneur
Innovation Towards Wijaya Putra Superior and Dignified".
The
development of sociopreneurs is collaborated with Hexahelix. Hexahelix is a
collaboration model involving six parties, namely the government, academics,
the business world, community organizations, media, and MSMEs.
The
commemoration was opened with a healthy walk activity that started at 06.00 WIB
with the starting point at the UWP Gate, Benowo Campus. The healthy walk was
also enlivened by a parade of UWP Student Organizations (Ormawa) which
displayed the characteristics of each Ormawa.
After the
healthy walk, the event continued with a number of activities such as a bazaar,
blood donation, free services, and musical and cultural arts performances.
Interestingly, the bazaar was also attended by a number of MSMEs in the
Surabaya and Gresik areas which were the results of fostered partners from the
UWP Community Service activities.

Chancellor, Dr. Budi Endarto, S.H., M.Hum., in his speech appreciated the 44th
Wijaya Putra Dies Natalis activities, especially the chosen theme.
"Sociopreneurs must be the spirit of academic activities at UWP and SWP.
The output of activities at Wijaya Putra must provide good benefits for the
community," said Budi Endarto. He added that the Sociopreneur vision is in
line with Wijaya Putra's spirit, namely Growth with Society or growing and
developing together with the community.
"I
believe that if this spirit continues to be developed, Wijaya Putra can become
a school and university with superior and dignified predicates," he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the 44th Wijaya Putra Anniversary, Dr. Yulis
Setyowati, S.Pd., M.Pd., said that today's activities are the culmination of a
series of Anniversary events that have been carried out for the past two
months.
"All of
our activities are aligned with the theme of the Anniversary based on
Sociopreneur, namely by involving elements of society, such as the social
services that we hold in the month of Ramadan, the UWP Emas League, the UMKM
bazaar, and competitions between schools throughout East Java," he said.
He hopes that
with the entire series, Wijaya Putra School can be introduced as a Superior
School Based on Character Education and Wijaya Putra University (UWP) as a
Sociopreneur University.
