A warm and together atmosphere characterized the Halal BiHalal event organized by the student organization of Wijaya Putra University (UWP). The event, held on the UWP campus on Monday, April 6, 2026, served not only as a moment to strengthen ties after Ramadan, but also as a way to express appreciation for two recent achievements by UWP students.

The event opened with a warm welcome from UWP leaders. In his remarks, UWP Rector, Dr. Budi Endarto, M.Hum., expressed his pride and gratitude for the achievements that have brought honor to the university. He commended the Smart Agro Team for reaching the Top 50 Innovillage and the Jujitsu Student Activity Unit (UKM Jujitsu) for winning the overall championship at the 2026 SLC CUP Indonesia Inter-Dojo Championship.

"I am very proud to see UWP's young people excelling not only in technology-based social innovation but also in the field of martial arts. This is proof that UWP students possess a strong fighting spirit. I hope this achievement will serve as momentum to continue working and bring UWP's good name to the national stage. The campus will always fully support every positive activity undertaken by students, whether through funding, facilities, or mentoring. I also highlighted the importance of the achievement-based New Student Admissions program as a strategy for students to develop themselves while gaining academic and non-academic recognition," said Budi Endarto.

Furthermore, UWP's Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Esa Wahyu Endarti, M.Si., also delivered an enthusiastic welcome. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of Student Affairs' role in facilitating and recognizing student achievement.

"Student affairs are the heart of campus dynamics. I commend the Student Executive Board (BEM) and all student units (UKM) for their hard work in organizing this Halal Bihalal event and for awarding outstanding students. Moving forward, we will continue to promote achievement-based development programs, from talent identification and training to competition mentoring. We will also facilitate access to the achievement-based New Student Admissions program for those seeking personal development. Congratulations to the Smart Agro Team and the Jujitsu UKM; continue to excel and be an inspiration to thousands of other UWP students," stated Esa Wahyu.

The highlight of the event was the congratulatory presentation to the UWP Smart Agro Team for their success in being included in the top 50 social projects of the Innovillage program, organized by Danantara and Telkom Indonesia. The Innovillage program is a prestigious event that encourages technology-based social innovation in higher education. The UWP Smart Agro team, consisting of Marselinus Reinaldi, Rio Setiawan, and Andrian Ardiansyah, was mentored by their supervisor, M. Harist Murdani, M.Sc. The team's success in reaching the Top 50 out of thousands of submitted proposals is clear evidence that UWP students are capable of competing at the national level by creating innovative solutions to societal problems in the field of smart agriculture.

Furthermore, on the same occasion, the UWP Chancellor also expressed his highest appreciation to the UWP Jujitsu Student Activity Unit for its outstanding achievement in the 2026 SLC CUP Indonesia Inter-Dojo Championship. The UWP Jujitsu Student Activity Unit emerged as the Overall Champion with a remarkable medal haul of 26 gold, 11 silver, and 4 bronze medals. Several top athletes who brought honor to UWP include: Shalasa Rafika (1st Place in Women's Regular Kumite Class A), Nadya Novitasari (1st Place in Women's Free Class Fighting System), and Ibrahim Movic (3rd Place in Men's Fighting System Class A).

With this Halal Bihalal event, filled with appreciation and motivation, UWP further affirms its commitment to becoming a leading university in the development of research-based sociopreneurship by 2030. Prospective students are expected to be motivated to pursue a path of achievement as a means of self-actualization and bringing honor to their alma mater.
