UWP Pays Special Tribute to the Late Dr. Taufiqurrahman.
This
year's Wijaya Putra University (UWP) graduation was a moment full of emotion
and memories. Different from previous graduation processions, this year the
campus paid special tribute to the late Vice Chancellor, Dr. Taufiqurrahman,
S.H., M.Hum., who passed away some time ago.
His figure is
recognized as having made a major contribution to the development and progress
of UWP, making him an irreplaceable figure in the hearts of the academic
community.
When giving
his speech, the Chancellor of UWP Surabaya, Dr. Budi Endarto, S.H., M.Hum., was
unable to control his emotions. With a trembling voice and uncontrollable
tears, he recalled his closeness to the late Dr. Taufiqurrahman.
"His
services were enormous for this campus. We have lost an extraordinary
figure," said Budi in a hoarse voice, remembering the dedication of Taufiq
who was considered one of the main pillars of the greatness of the Wijaya Putra
campus.
Dr.
Taufiqurrahman, who is known to never tire of working for the betterment of the
campus, often spends his days and nights thinking about the future of UWP. His
extraordinary performance has always been an inspiration for many people,
including Chancellor Budi himself.
"His
thoughts and dedication are priceless diamonds. We will continue his
struggle," he added.
The most
touching moment occurred when Chancellor Budi visited Dr. Taufiqurrahman was
present as a special guest. With great respect, he gave special flowers to his
deceased wife, accompanied by a warm hug and a kiss on her hand.
"Pak
Taufiq is our spirit, our inspiration to continue fighting," he said with
teary eyes.
Dr.
Taufiqurrahman is not only a Vice Chancellor, but also a respected academic,
authoritative leader and champion of education. The man who was born in
Bojonegoro on December 9 1963 started his career as a lecturer at the UWP
Faculty of Law, before finally being appointed Deputy Chancellor.
