In his remarks, the UWP Rector stated, "The collaboration with Rattanabundit University is a concrete step in broadening the global perspectives of the UWP academic community. Thailand and Indonesia share cultural ties and similar development challenges, so collaboration in education and research will have a significant positive impact on both parties."
Meanwhile, the RBU President expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "We are very pleased to partner with UWP. We are confident that the exchange of knowledge and resources between our students and faculty will create strong synergies and open up new opportunities for all."
Based on the MoU, several areas of collaboration that will soon be implemented include: Student Exchange; Joint Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Research, and Publications; Lecturer and Researcher Exchange; Information and Academic Material Exchange; and Joint E-Learning.
This collaboration is expected to not only improve the quality and international exposure of students and lecturers at both universities, but also contribute to the production of knowledge relevant to regional developments in Southeast Asia.
"With Joint E-Learning and information exchange, we are opening broader and more inclusive access to education. This is a form of our adaptation to the digital era," added the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UWP, Assoc. Prof. Woro Utari.
The technical implementation of the MoU will soon be drafted by a task force from both universities. Initial activities will begin with a Guest Lecturer program from FEB UWP, led by Assoc. Prof. Woro Utari, Dr. Dwi Lesno, and Aminatuzzuhro, MM, will conduct teaching activities for RBU Thailand students on December 16, 2025.
It is hoped that in the near future, students and lecturers will be able to begin submitting proposals to participate in the first exchange program.
