UWP Faculty of Psychology Partners with Sejahtera Surabaya High School in the Impactful Campus Internship Program
In an effort to improve the quality of education and student skills, the Faculty of Psychology at Wijaya Putra University (FPsi UWP) has established a strategic partnership with SMA Sejahtera Surabaya through an impactful campus internship program. This collaboration aims to provide students with real-world experience in psychology while also providing direct benefits to the surrounding community.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signing ceremony took place at SMA Sejahtera Surabaya on September 24, 2025, attended by the leadership of FPsi UWP, the principal of SMA Sejahtera Surabaya, and student representatives. Through this program, Psychology students will have internship opportunities in various fields related to educational psychology, counseling, and character development at SMA Sejahtera Surabaya.
The Dean of FPsi UWP, Mrs. Firsty Oktaria Grahani, S.Psi., M.Psi., stated that this collaboration is a concrete step in supporting FPsi's vision to become a center for the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, oriented towards positive impact on society. "We believe that through this internship program, students will not only gain practical experience but will also be able to make a real contribution to improving the mental well-being and character of the younger generation in Surabaya," he said.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMA Sejahtera Surabaya, Mrs. Anita Putri Maharsari, S.Si., M.Si., welcomed this initiative and hoped the collaboration would continue. "This program is very beneficial for our students and also provides opportunities for students to learn directly in the field and contribute to developing their potential," she said.
Through this internship program, it is hoped that a mutually beneficial synergy will be created between educational institutions, students, and the community, producing graduates who are not only academically competent but also concerned with character development and the mental well-being of the community.
