UWP Enhances Entrepreneurship and Digital Marketing Skills of Hidayatul Ummah Gresik Vocational School Students
To bridge the world of education with the challenges of the digital era, Wijaya Putra University (UWP) successfully held a seminar titled "Building the Young Entrepreneurial Spirit in the Digital Era" for students of SMK Hidayatul Ummah Gresik (SMEKHUM). The event, which took place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, was enthusiastically attended by hundreds of students.
This seminar demonstrates UWP's commitment to community service and introduces the importance of digital literacy and entrepreneurship from an early age. The goal is to prepare the younger generation to become not only job seekers but also job creators.
The event opened with a warm welcome from SMEKHUM representatives. In his remarks, Mr. Moh. Adlan Arief, S.Ag., the Student Affairs Representative, emphasized the importance of adapting to technological developments.
"Today's young people are the entrepreneurs of the future. Understanding entrepreneurship alone is not enough; they must master digital platforms to market their products and services. Through this seminar, we hope to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit among SMEKHUM students," he said.
The seminar featured speakers who were experts in their fields. The topic, "Entrepreneurship and Digital Marketing," was delivered by Yuli Ermawati, SE., M.Ak., a lecturer at the UWP Faculty of Economics and Business who also has experience as an MSME consultant.
"Very interesting and informative! I learned that starting a business doesn't have to wait until you graduate from college. The knowledge taught is very practical and can be put into practice immediately," said Rama Setya, one of the seminar participants, enthusiastically.
The event was interactive, with a question-and-answer session and short simulations, where students could directly ask questions about their challenges and business ideas. The participants' enthusiasm was evident in the numerous questions they asked the speakers.
With this event, UWP hopes to continue contributing to producing a creative, innovative young generation ready to compete on the global stage.
