THE RECTOR OF WIJAYA PUTRA UNIVERSITY IS READY TO SUPPORT CIVIL VILLAGE IN BABAT JERAWAT VILLAGE

    Surabaya — In an atmosphere full of familiarity and friendship, the Chancellor of Wijaya Putra University (UWP) Dr. Budi Endarto, M.Hum., expressed his commitment to support the Kampung Madani program in Babat Jerawat Village, Surabaya. The commitment was conveyed while attending the Halal Bi Halal event of the Babat Jerawat Village Family on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

    In his remarks, Dr. Budi Endarto, M.Hum., emphasized that UWP is ready to collaborate to realize Kampung Madani — a community development concept based on the values ​​of togetherness, independence, and empowerment.

    “UWP must be present in the community. Support for Kampung Madani is part of our dedication to building an advanced, independent, and character-based community in accordance with UWP's Vision, namely Becoming a Leading University in the Development of Research-Based Sociopreneurship by 2030,” said Budi Endarto.

    He also said that UWP will drive various community service programs, ranging from MSME mentoring, entrepreneurship training, to youth and women empowerment programs, as part of a real contribution, especially to Babat Jerawat Village. 

    The Halal Bi Halal event was also attended by 250 people consisting of community leaders, village officials, and local residents. In a warm atmosphere, this moment became the beginning of synergy between Universities and the community to jointly create a harmonious, productive, and competitive environment. 
With the spirit of "Growth with Society", UWP continues to strive to be a strategic partner in community development.
