The Opening of the 2025 UWP PKKMB was a Festive Event, with the UWP Chancellor's Message to New Students.
Wijaya Putra University (UWP) held an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB), which officially opened on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the UWP Dome on the Benowo Campus.
The PKKMB was attended by 457 new UWP students and was attended by all university officials and all faculties within the university.
The PKKMB opening ceremony, which began at 3:00 PM WIB, was officiated by Bayu Tri Putra as MC and marked by a remo dance performance by Raniah Qottrunnada from the Faculty of Psychology.
Furthermore, the Head of the 2025 UWP PKKMB Organizing Committee, Suprayoga, S.E., M.Sc., in his report stated that the theme of this year's PKKMB is "Building a Generation of Superior, Innovative, and Research-Based Sociopreneurs Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045."
"The PKKMB will last for five days, from September 17th to 21st, 2025. The theme aligns with the vision, mission, and values developed by Wijaya Putra University," he emphasized.
UWP Rector, Dr. Budi Endarto, S.H., M.Hum., in his remarks stated that the implementation of the PKKMB is fundamental, amidst the paradigm shift in higher education in Indonesia.
"This paradigm shift is marked by the Ministry's launch of the Impactful Diktisaintek or Impactful Campus program in 2025. Therefore, this new cohort of students are the primary and first actors in the Impactful Diktisaintek era," he explained.
He emphasized that UWP differentiates itself from other universities by adhering to its Vision of Becoming a Leading University in Research-Based Sociopreneurship Development by 2030, with the tagline "Growth with Society."
"UWP's vision as a Sociopreneur University aligns with the Impactful Diktisaintek program. In fact, we launched this vision earlier, which was established in 2023," he emphasized.
The 2025 UWP PKKMB culminated in the excitement of the UWP Rector's opening ceremony, symbolically marked by the awarding of the 2025 UWP PKKMB participant badges to Nesza Arianti Pratama from the Faculty of Economics and Business and Raka Dwi Dirgantara from the Faculty of Engineering. The ceremony was followed by the reading of the student pledge by M. Rifqi Ferdiansyah and Aisyah Kholila Salsabila from the Faculty of Law.
