The atmosphere on the Wijaya Putra University (UWP) campus looked different from usual on Saturday 6 June 2026. The Marching Skills Competition (LKBB) session 2 which lasted for more than 16 hours successfully set a record for participation by involving 57 teams or the equivalent of 1,026 participants from various levels.

The opening ceremony was held at exactly 06.30 WIB in the main courtyard of the campus, followed by a tight and enthusiastic competition procession until the winner was announced at 23.00 WIB. UWP Chancellor, Dr. Budi Endarto, M.Hum., said that the enthusiasm of the participants was extraordinary, even exceeding the committee's initial target of only predicting 40 teams.
"Thank God, the entire series went smoothly. The participants showed extraordinary discipline and teamwork. We are proud because this competition not only tests marching dexterity, but also builds leadership and responsibility character," said the UWP Chancellor in his speech.

For the winner of the junior high school category, the general and main champion was won by SMP Hang Tuah 1 Surabaya, for the high school level the general and main champion was won by SMKN 5 Surabaya, and for the general level the general and main champion was won by APAS Club.

All general and main winners received Achievement Scholarships from UWP as a form of the campus' commitment to supporting the superior generation. The success of this event cannot be separated from the hard work of 216 committee members consisting of three main elements: BEM FEB members, student volunteers across faculties, and the UWP Student Regiment (Menwa) which is fully responsible for the running of the competition and security.
The presence of sponsors allows the committee to provide the best facilities, from food, competition equipment, to attractive main prizes.

In accordance with UWP's vision as a campus that promotes sociopreneurship values, the committee includes space for community economic empowerment in every event. Clearly visible in the fieldside area, dozens of MSME tenants assisted by UWP are lined up selling various products, ranging from snacks, health drinks, to PBB attributes.

"We don't just want to compete in skills, but also create a social impact. By involving MSMEs, we invite the younger generation to be sensitive to the surrounding economy. This is a real form of sociopreneurship by achieving achievements while empowering the community," emphasized UWP Deputy Chancellor III Dr. Esa Wahyu Endarti, M.Sc.

With a strong spirit of togetherness and social values, LKBB session 2 of UWP 2026 closed at exactly 23.00, leaving a deep impression on all participants and the surrounding community.
