Signing of Collaboration Between FISIP Wijaya Putra University and FISIP University 17 August 1945 Semarang at The 3rd International Conference on Social, Politics, Administration, and Communication Science (ICOSPACS) 2024 and Call for Paper

Semarang, 30 October 2024 – Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Wijaya Putra University (UWP) and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of 17 August 1945 Semarang (UNTAG Semarang) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoA) at The 3rd International Conference on Social, Politics, Administration, and Communication Science (ICOSPACS) 2024 and Call for Paper at the University of 17 August 1945 Semarang. The signing, which took place on 29-30 October 2024, strengthens cooperation between the two faculties in expanding academic horizons and research collaboration in the fields of social, political, administrative and communication sciences.

This Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr. Supriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., Dean of FISIP, Wijaya Putra University, and Prof. Dr. Dra. Rini Werdiningsih, M.S., Dean of FISIP, University of 17 August 1945 Semarang and witnessed by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation at UWP (Dr. Sri Juni Woro Astuti, M.Com). This collaboration is expected to open up opportunities for the two institutions to carry out lecturer and student exchanges, research collaboration, community service (PkM), research and PkM publications, holding joint seminars and conferences as well as implementing Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).

The signing of this MoU is an important moment in the development of cross-institutional programs, with the aim of strengthening research capacity and deepening academic collaboration. "This collaboration is a strategic step for us in supporting educational and research programs that are increasingly relevant at the global level," said Dr. Supriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si. Prof. Dr. Rini Werdiningsih, M.S., added that this synergy will have a positive impact on scientific development, especially in facing the challenges of the digital era and globalization. In the 3rd ICOSPACS 2024 and Call for Paper activities, it became a forum for international collaboration. This collaboration was carried out as part of the ICOSPACS 2024 series of events, which presented an international conference with the theme "Strengthening Resilience and Innovation in Public Administration and Communication in the Post-Pandemic World." This event attracts participants from various countries to discuss the latest ideas and research results in social and political science, communication and public administration. Apart from plenary and panel sessions, this event also invites academic contributions through a Call for Papers which is open to researchers and practitioners throughout the world.

With the realization of this collaboration, it is hoped that FISIP Wijaya Putra University and FISIP UNTAG Semarang can support each other to continue to innovate and contribute to the development of science and society.

In this activity, the 2nd Communication Forum Congress of Deans of FISIP/Chairs of STISIP PTS throughout Indonesia (FK-DKISIP) was also held, which further strengthened cooperation and communication across universities in developing social sciences, political sciences, administration and communication in Indonesia. At this 2nd congress, Prof. Dr. Sumugyo Ibnu Redjo, MA. As General Chair who will form the format for managing FK-DKISIP for the 2024-2028 period. To date, there are 270 (two hundred and seventy) private universities that are members of FK-DKISIP.
