Product Management and Marketing Training Teaching Factory Gresik Vocational High School Teachers to Improve Vocational Education Competence
Gresik November 30, 2024, in order to improve the competence of Vocational High School (SMK) teachers in managing and marketing teaching factory (TEFA) products, the Faculty of Economics and Business UWP held a training located at SMK Ma`arif NU Benjeng Gresik with participants from SMK teachers entitled "Management and Marketing of Teaching Factory Products" has been successfully held. This activity aims to support the strengthening of vocational education in Indonesia to be more relevant to the needs of industry and the market.
This training was attended by dozens of SMK teachers from various regions of Gresik Regency, who enthusiastically participated in the material and direct practice sessions provided by speakers from the UWP Faculty of Economics and Business Lecturers in the fields of business management and digital marketing.
The participants were equipped with an understanding of effective TEFA operational management, including production planning, resource management, and business performance evaluation. Given the ever-evolving digital era, teachers were trained to utilize digital platforms such as social media, marketplaces, and websites to promote TEFA products. Branding strategies and content management were also among the main points discussed. The training also emphasized the importance of establishing cooperation with the Business World/Industry World to ensure TEFA products are in accordance with market standards and needs.
Great hopes arise from the results of this training, namely that vocational school teachers are able to better guide students in creating high-quality products that are competitive in the market, the role of vocational schools as the driving force of vocational education that is ready to face global challenges.
