PKKMB UWP 2024, Sharpening the Character of Gen-Z Towards an Achievement GOLD Generation
Wijaya Putra University (UWP) has
once again demonstrated its commitment to producing a superior generation by
successfully holding PKKMB (Introduction to Campus Life for New Students) 2024.
The event, which was held on 11-15 September 2024, was attended by 450 new
students who were ready to start their academic journey at UWP.
Carrying the theme
"Optimizing Gen-Z with GOLD Character (Empathy, Independence, Adaptive
& Solutive)", this activity is designed to help new students adapt to
the world of college, which is of course very different from high school life.
Not just an orientation, PKKMB
2024 is an event for building relationships between new students, seniors and
lecturers, creating a solid campus community from an early age.
Activities during PKKMB are very
varied and full of inspiration. New students are not only introduced to their
respective faculties and study programs, but also receive academic training,
self-development and motivational material from experts.
Various interactive activities
such as ice breaking, games, and music and dance performances also enliven the
atmosphere, creating an unforgettable experience. Not to forget, a visit to
campus facilities provides a clear picture of the supporting facilities that
students can utilize while studying at UWP.
UWP Chancellor, Dr. Budi Endarto,
M.Hum., in his speech gave an in-depth message to new students. "We hope
that new students can adapt well to the campus environment, considering that
the world of lectures has a different atmosphere. Become a generation that is
independent, caring and accomplished, both in academic and non-academic fields.
"The EMAS values (Empathy, Independence, Adaptive, Solutive) must be the
foundation for studying and making a real contribution to society," he
said.
