Hosting the "UWP Gold League," Wijaya Putra University Becomes a Creativity Platform for Today's Sociopreneurs
The lively celebration of Wijaya Putra University's (UWP) 45th anniversary felt particularly special this year. With the overarching theme "Impactful Wijaya Putra," UWP launched a series of competitive and inspiring activities, packaged as the "UWP Gold League" program. This activity was designed not only as a celebration but also as a platform for students to actualize themselves as innovative and sustainable agents of social change.
Vice Rector 3, Dr. Esa Wahyu Endarti, SH., M.Si., in his remarks at the opening of the UWP Gold League program, which carried the theme "Innovate, Impact, Sustain: Building Young Sociopreneurs Based on Research."
"In its 45th year, UWP wants to move forward with the spirit of gold. We present the "UWP Gold League" as an ecosystem that encourages students to innovate, create real impact on society, and ensure the sustainability of every idea they generate. We want to produce young sociopreneurs whose work is born from strong research and provides solutions," said Esa Wahyu.
The "UWP Gold League" series of activities, taking place throughout March 2026, features a variety of integrated activities, including: proposal writing and presentations by students in 10 areas of the Student Creativity Program, the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program, and the Student Organization Capacity Building Program.
The culmination of the festivities of Wijaya Putra's 45th Anniversary will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026. This special occasion will not only feature various entertainment activities with the academic community, but also the highly anticipated announcement of the UWP Gold League winners. On this grand finale, the winners will receive prestigious awards in the form of Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals, along with certificates of achievement. In addition, the winners will have the opportunity to receive seed funding to develop their social enterprises.
With the Impactful spirit, Wijaya Putra is determined to continue to be a pioneer in producing superior human resources capable of responding to the challenges of the times with a strong sociopreneurial spirit.
