Honing Quality FH UWP Students Collaborate with PERADI Gresik to Hold PKPA Hybrid 2024
Students at the Faculty of Law, Wijaya Putra University (FH UWP) continue
to show high commitment to deepening their legal knowledge. This time, they are
collaborating with the Leadership Council of the Indonesian Advocates
Association (DPC PERADI) Gresik Branch through the 2023 Class II Special
Education for the Advocate Profession (PKPA).
This program runs from Saturday, September 28 2024 to Sunday, October 13
2024, and is an opportunity to hone the legal skills of UWP FH students. The
culmination of this series of events was held at the closing of PKPA on
Saturday (13/10) at the Taufiqurrahman Law Laboratory, Building E, UWP Benowo
Campus. This event was attended by the Dean of FH UWP along with the DPC PERADI
Gresik staff.
In his speech, the Chairman of DPC PERADI Gresik, Kukuh Pramono Budi,
S.H., M.H., emphasized the importance of maintaining the dignity and authority
of the advocate profession. “An advocate must always maintain integrity and
professionalism in carrying out his duties. "That's what will
differentiate you in this challenging profession," said Kukuh
enthusiastically.
What makes this year's PKPA even more interesting is the hybrid format
implemented, combining face-to-face and online learning. Chair of the PKPA
Committee, Muhamad Chaidar, S.H., M.H., explained that FH UWP utilizes e-court
law laboratory facilities to support this learning model.
"We are trying to optimize e-court law laboratory facilities to
support hybrid learning in PKPA this year," explained Chaidar,
highlighting innovation in organizing the event.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FH UWP, Dr. Andy Usmina Wijaya, S.H., M.H., said
that the PKPA program is an important part of the big vision of FH UWP which
carries the motto "school of litigators." According to him, this
program complements legal education at FH UWP, which also supports the
"Legalpreneur" concept in accordance with the university's vision as
a Sociopreneur-based Entrepreneurial University.
"This PKPA not only trains students' legal skills, but also prepares
them to become advocates with an entrepreneurial spirit. "The success of
this year's hybrid implementation has made us plan to re-adopt this model in
next year's PKPA," concluded Andy.
