Voices of gratitude and joy echoed inside the Dome of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Wijaya Putra University (UWP) Benowo Campus on Sunday, November 2, 2025. The UWP Christian Spirituality Activity Unit (UKKK) held a thanksgiving ceremony for the 2025 graduation ceremony with the meaningful theme, "I can bear all things through Him who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

The event was a touching and proud moment, especially for the nine graduates from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The theme was chosen to reflect the graduates' long journey, not only through pursuing their education abroad but also through facing the challenges of life away from home, ultimately earning their degrees.

The thanksgiving ceremony was attended by the Rector, Bureau, graduates, their families, advisors, and the entire UKKK UWP family. The atmosphere was solemn and warm. The ceremony began with a thanksgiving service, where several graduates shared testimonies of their struggles, homesickness, and how their faith grew while studying in Surabaya.

One representative of the graduates from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Marselinus Kosten, SH., expressed his gratitude with a trembling voice. "We came from the East with a strong spirit. There were many times when we almost gave up, whether due to economic difficulties, academic difficulties, or loneliness. But UWP became our second family. Not because we were strong, but because He gave us strength," he said, to warm applause.

In his appreciative remarks, UWP Rector, Dr. Budi Endarto, SH., M.Hum., expressed his pride and deep congratulations to all the graduates, especially the nine graduates from NTT.
"On this joyous day, on behalf of the UWP leadership, I extend my congratulations and highest appreciation to the graduates. You are all living proof of the integration and collaboration of the UWP academic community," said the Rector.
He specifically highlighted the struggles of the graduates from NTT. "To our brothers and sisters from NTT, I would like to convey that your struggle over the past four years has been truly special. You have brought honor to your region, your families, and, of course, your beloved alma mater, with great distinction. The challenging journey of living abroad has not discouraged you; instead, it has honed your resilience and led to success."

In his closing remarks, the Rector urged the graduates to use the knowledge gained not only for personal success, but also for contributing to society. "Now is the time for you to bring these achievements home. Be individuals who make a positive impact wherever you are. Continue to be lifelong learners, and use the noble values you acquired at UWP as a guide in serving your community, nation, and state. Good luck, and God bless you."
The Rector's warm welcome was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience, further strengthening the graduates' sense of pride and renewed enthusiasm for the next chapter of their lives.
