FGD of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program in Preparing Technical Guidelines for MBKM Curriculum Collaboration with Similar Study Program Partners Outside PT (UJB Yogyakarta) and DuDi (Bengkel Berdikari)

Located at Bella Hotel Surabaya, in an effort to
strengthen the implementation of the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM)
program, the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering,
Wijaya Putra University held a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) to develop
technical guidelines for independent MBKM curriculum collaboration with
partners. This activity was attended by representatives from Janabadra
University Yogyakarta and Bengkel Berdikari Surabaya. This FGD aims to
formulate concrete steps in establishing effective collaboration between
universities and partners in the context of developing the MBKM curriculum.
Through in-depth discussions, the FGD participants sought to reach agreement
regarding: Scope of cooperation, cooperation mechanisms, as well as evaluation
and sustainability of other cooperation programs.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ong Andre
Wahyu Riyanto, ST., MT., said that this FGD was an important step in realizing
the university's vision to produce graduates who are competent and ready to
face the challenges of the world of work. "With these technical
guidelines, it is hoped that collaboration with partners can be more structured
and provide optimal benefits for students," he said.
Furthermore, the Public Relations &
Cooperation Bureau, Surya Priyambudi, S.Pd., M.Pd., also expressed his
appreciation for the initiatives carried out by the Mechanical Engineering
Study Program. "This collaboration is a real form of synergy between the
world of education and the world of industry. "We are committed to fully
supporting the MBKM program and contributing to the development of quality
human resources," he said.
The expected results of this FGD are the formation
of technical guidelines for independent MBKM curriculum collaboration that are
comprehensive and easy to understand, the establishment of a strong commitment
between universities and partners in implementing the MBKM program, and
increasing the quality and relevance of the MBKM program to the needs of the
world of work.
With this technical guideline, it is hoped that
more students will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to develop
competencies through the MBKM program. Apart from that, collaboration with
partners is also expected to strengthen the relevance of graduates to the needs
of the job market and encourage innovation in the field of higher education.
