Development of UWP Partnerships with DUDI, Universities, Government and Education Units

Paragon Surabaya, Wijaya Putra University (UWP) continues to show its
commitment to building a strong collaborative network with various parties,
including the business/industrial world (DU/DI), other universities, government
and units. education. This partnership is key in improving the quality of
education, the relevance of graduates to the world of work, and making a real
contribution to society. In this case, UWP carried out Focus Group Discussion
activities together with DU/DI partners, universities, government and education
units. The FGD activity was attended by the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Dean,
Head of Study Programs, and the ISS MBKM UWP Team and also invited 12 UWP
cooperation partners who would sign the MoA (Memorandum of Agreement).
Collaboration with cooperation
partners is focused on aligning curricula, implementing internship programs,
and providing guest lecturers from industry, as required by the "link and
match" concept. This activity aims to ensure that UWP graduates are ready
to work, not only in mastering theory, but also in practical skills needed by
industry. This kind of collaboration allows students to gain direct experience
in the industrial world, increasing their competitiveness.
In his remarks, the Chancellor of
UWP, Dr. Budi Endarto, M.Hum., expressed his gratitude to the ISS-MBKM UWP team
for receiving a grant in the 2nd (second) year. This program is very
interesting because of the struggle and enthusiasm that has been carried out by
the ISS-MBKM UWP team. Hopefully other Study Programs at UWP can soon follow to
continue the grant achievements. "Thank you to the partners who have
participated in collaborating in the MBKM era, this activity is to increase the
readiness of human resources in entering the VUCA era," emphasized the
Chancellor.
In this activity, Dr. Yenny Sari,
ST., M.Sc., CQE., as Directorate of Institutional Cooperation, University of
Surabaya as resource person for the MBKM Cooperation FGD activity. The material
presented was a sharing session related to collaboration with MBKM.
On the other hand, collaboration
with the government and education units aims to strengthen the education
ecosystem through human resource development programs and curriculum innovation
that continues to be optimized. Programs such as teaching exchanges and joint
research, both domestically and internationally, are an important part of
developing this partnership. These steps are expected to strengthen the role of
education in creating graduates who suit industry needs and support economic
growth based on competent human resources.
