CONTENT OF RAMADHAN 1446 H ACTIVITIES, BEM FH UWP AND UKKI HOLD SOCIAL SERVICE AT AN ORPHANAGE
In order to fill the activities in the month of Ramadan 1446 H, the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law, Wijaya Putra University (BEM FH UWP) together with the Islamic Spiritual Activity Unit (UKKI) of Wijaya Putra University held a social service at the Uswah Orphanage, Kendung, Surabaya on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
The social service was filled with the provision of compensation money to the children at the orphanage. In addition, the management of BEM FH UWP and UKKI also handed over cash, basic necessities and clothing in the form of hijabs which were handed over to the management of the orphanage.
The Chief Executive, Imam Alamuddin said that all the compensation and donations were the result of donations from the entire academic community of FH UWP and members of UKKI.
"We have opened donations since the beginning of Ramadan, and Alhamdulillah, many students and lecturers participated in the social service activities." Imam said.
Meanwhile, the Head of BEM FH UWP, Dendy Erdi Pranata said that the social service activity was a routine agenda organized by BEM FH UWP. Moreover, this year, BEM FH UWP also collaborated with UKKI.
"We want to foster a sense of social empathy among fellow students at FH UWP," said Dendy.
Met in a separate place, the Dean of FH UWP, Dr. Andy Usmina Wijaya, S.H., M.H., appreciated the social service activity initiated by BEM FH UWP students.
"The existence of UWP, especially FH UWP, should bring benefits to the community. This is in line with the concept initiated by UWP as a Sociopreneurship-based campus with the tagline Growth with Society," he said.
