BEM FH UWP HOLDS LEGAL STUDY ON LEGAL POSITION OF DANANTARA
The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law, Wijaya Putra University (BEM FH UWP) held a Legal Study "Legal Position of Danantara Related to Management of State-Owned Enterprises" on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Building E2 UWP Benowo Campus.
The resource person for the Legal Study was Dr. Rihantoro Bayuaji, S.H., M.H., who is an Advocate and Lecturer at FH UWP and moderated by M. Aditya Pramana Putra from BEM FH UWP.
In his presentation, the Resource Person said that the birth of Danantara brings a new perspective to Corporate Law.
"Generally we know holding and sub-holding. Meanwhile, Danantara is a Super Holding like Temasek in Singapore."
He studied Danantara from a legal perspective. One of its legal bases is not a special law related to Danantara but rather in Law Number 1 of 2025 concerning the Third Amendment to Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning BUMN. While Danantara itself is an agency.
"In the future, Danantara should be regulated in a separate law that specifically regulates Danantara, not in the BUMN Law." He said.
The Head of the Legal Study Implementation Committee, Imam Alamuddin, said that the Legal Study activity is a routine monthly agenda organized by BEM FH UWP.
"The Legal Study organized by BEM FH UWP since last January, raises legal issues that are currently hot in society.", said Imam.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FH UWP, Dr. Andy Usmina Wijaya, S.H., M.H., appreciated the continuity of the Legal Study.
"This shows that FH UWP students have embraced UWP's vision as a Sociopreneur University. Students are sensitive to social issues," said Andy.
He added that the Legal Study Forum is in line with the concept of FH UWP as a School of Litigators and the vision of FH UWP, namely Legalpreneur based on research.
