Bank Tabungan Negara and Wijaya Putra University Support the Pela Gandong Cup 1 Volleyball Tournament with Gribin Club
Bank Tabungan
Negara (BTN) together with Universitas Wijaya Putra (UWP) officially
collaborated to support the implementation of the Pela Gandong Cup 1 Volleyball
Tournament, a prestigious sporting event held in collaboration with the Gribin
Club. This tournament is a real form of support for the development of the
potential of the younger generation and the spirit of togetherness in sports.

The
tournament, which will take place starting June 14, 2025, will be attended by
dozens of volleyball teams from various RW throughout Pakal District, bringing
the spirit of Pela Gandong—a philosophy of brotherhood—into a competition that
upholds sportsmanship.
"We see
that the spirit of Pela Gandong is in line with BTN's values in building
connectivity, collaboration, and social concern. Through this support, BTN
hopes to be able to encourage sporting achievements while strengthening
brotherhood between regions," said Andi Eko, Head of BTN KCP Benowo.
Wijaya Putra
University Public Relations, Surya Priyambudi, also expressed his appreciation
for the collaboration that was established. "As an educational
institution, we do not only focus on academic aspects, but also actively
support non-academic activities that shape students' character, one of which is
through sports," he explained.
Meanwhile, the
Head of the Pela Gandong Foundation, Daswiar Chandra, expressed his gratitude
for the full support from BTN and UWP. He hopes that this tournament can become
an annual routine agenda and become a place to find seeds of outstanding
volleyball athletes in Indonesia.
The Pela
Gandong Cup 1 tournament is expected to be a momentum to unite the volleyball
community in various regions, while also providing a positive contribution to
the spirit of unity, sports achievements, and the development of the younger
generation.
