Surabaya, May 28, 2025 – Wijaya Putra University (UWP) is proud to announce the participation of six of its students in the East Java Provincial Student Sports Week (POMPROV) III in 2025. This prestigious provincial-level sporting event will be a proving ground for UWP's young athletes who have prepared themselves well.

The six students who will bring UWP's good name are:

Shalasa Rafika Putri from the Faculty of Public Administration, Ju-Jitsu Sports Branch

Nadya Novitasari from the Faculty of Public Administration, Ju-Jitsu Sports Branch

Ratu Miranda from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Pencak Silat Sports Branch

Bintang Putra Arjuna from the Faculty of Psychology, Pencak Silat Sports Branch

M. Dafa`uddin from the Faculty of Law, Pencak Silat Sports Branch

Chyntya Putri from the Faculty of Law, Woodball Sports Branch

These athletes are selected students who have shown extraordinary dedication and achievements in their respective sports. They have gone through a series of intensive training under the guidance of experienced coaches to achieve their best performance.

Rector of Wijaya Putra University Dr. Budi Endarto, M.Hum., expressed his appreciation and full support to the athletes. "We are very proud of the enthusiasm and hard work of these six students. Their participation in POMPROV East Java III is real proof of UWP's commitment to supporting the development of student talents, not only in academics but also non-academics, including sports," he said.

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Dr. Esa Wahyu Endarti, M.Sc., also added, "We hope they can give their best performance, uphold sportsmanship, and bring home proud achievements for UWP."

POMPROV East Java III will be held on May 28 to June 4, 2025. The entire academic community of Wijaya Putra University conveys their prayers and best support so that the athletes can achieve maximum results.
