The series of commemorations of the 44th Anniversary of Wijaya Putra University (UWP) and Wijaya Putra School (SWP) this time took place in a unique and meaningful way. Titled "Wijaya Putra Berbagi: Spread Kindness, Achieve Blessings", the social service activity held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at the Dome UWP Benowo Campus provided assistance in the form of basic food packages and donations to orphans and the poor.

This event was attended by hundreds of the poor, orphans, and underprivileged people living in the West Surabaya area. The Chairperson of the Wijaya Putra Berbagi Committee, Dr. Alfin Maulana, S.EI., M.SEI., said that this activity distributed 365 basic food packages to those entitled to receive them.

"A total of 365 basic food packages and a number of donations were distributed to the poor who are partners of Wijaya Putra School and University, the nearest orphanage, and the underprivileged community around West Surabaya," said Alfin.

Dr. Budi Endarto, S.H., M.Hum., Patron of the Insan Indonesia Mandiri Foundation and UWP Chancellor, gave high appreciation for the Wijaya Putra Berbagi activity. Moreover, this activity coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, which is a very appropriate moment to foster a sense of empathy among the UWP and SWP academic community.

"This Ramadhan moment is a very good time to provide learning to students, teachers, lecturers, and the entire academic community of UWP and SWP about the importance of sharing and caring for others," said Dr. Budi.

Furthermore, Dr. Budi also emphasized the importance of the existence of UWP and SWP in providing a positive impact on society. He emphasized that these two educational institutions do not only exist to develop knowledge, but also to provide real contributions to the surrounding community.

"As a campus based on Sociopreneurship, we believe that UWP and SWP must coexist with the community. Our existence is not only to learn, but also to provide real benefits. We carry this concept with the tagline 'Growth with Society'," he added.

This activity is real evidence of UWP and SWP's commitment to prioritizing beneficial social values, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan. It is hoped that the Wijaya Putra Berbagi event can inspire more parties to continue to spread kindness and provide attention to those in need.
